Edge browser failed miserably. Now this is the outcome as Chromium browser!

So msft finally admitted that people use edge to download chrome.;)

Btw msft also need to change product like sharepoint to support chrome as they don't fully support it now.

already chrome browser icon is having same colors of microsoft. better they should copy paste the chrome;)

They should understand the fact, they can't make a usable browser as it requires lot development and support of newer web UI requires time which they can't devote as they forget fixing issues after making a browser. We have seen how Internet Explorer was forgotten with time and later had to closed. Same with Edge happening now but they are again repeating same mistake.

At this point they might as well could have opted in to just ship with Chrome or any other existing project and do everyone a favor.

Using chromium might be a step in the right direction, but knowing Microsoft, they're gonna build something that is comparatively unusable, as always, when they attempt to build a web browser.

Breaking news: MS Edge will be available on Windows 7, 8.1 and macOS

Microsoft Edge will now be delivered and updated for all supported versions of Windows and on a more frequent cadence. We also expect this work to enable us to bring Microsoft Edge to other platforms like macOS.

We will move to a Chromium-compatible web platform for Microsoft Edge on the desktop.
