Saw article on telugu newspaper stating that BSNL 4G services would be started from Jan-2018 from Kerela.

They would first target areas where 3G is missing. Odisha would get it second after Kerela and they are planning to have 10000 4G towers by March 2018. It also states that BSNL 4G would be started with new brand name.

BSNL to start its 4G Services in India from 'Udumbanchola' taluk in Idukki District in Kerala

5 Towers have been deployed in the taluk, in the Places namely Udumbanchola Town, Kallupalam, Parathode, Chemmannar and Senapathy and test will start soon. Its worth noting that the taluk has got only 2G sevice from BSNL and no 3G service is available.

BSNL to start its 4G Services in the Country from Today

As told earlier, BSNL will roll-out its 4G Services in Kerala's Udumbanchola Taluk in Idukki district starting Today. 5 Towers have been commissioned under 4G. More towers will be upgraded to 4G starting from March.

Nd its Official.. BSNL Launches its 4G Service in INDIA

BSNL's first 4G services were introduced in the country. The project was first implemented in Idukki district in the state. The first 4G service is available at Udumbanchola Telephone exchange in Idukki district, Udumbanchola Town, Chemmanar, Kallapalam and Senapati.

4G Services have been Inaugurated by calling BSNL CMD Anupam Srivastava.

Instead of 4G they should start VoLTE service. At least then the offer looks more attractive. Apart from this BSNL is the best network for voice + tarrif plan but, Customer Support is so bad.

By calling BSNL CMD. Using regular 4G we can't call unless its VoLTE..

but not a clear picture has been given yet
