Vi launches Rs 25 prepaid plan in Chennai and Tamil Nadu

Vi (formerly Vodafone Idea) has today launched a new prepaid plan at Rs 25 in Chennai and Tamil Nadu strengthening its portfolio of prepaid plans. Vi has however listed the prepaid plan under the ‘Combo’ even though the offerings are merely voice-calling specific without any internet or SMS benefits.

The newly launched pack listed on the prepaid plans microsite offers only 1-day service validity with no outgoing service validity. Vi’s Rs 25 prepaid plack is a voice calling specific pack offering 10 minutes of Local/STD/Roaming minutes for 1 day. The pack, for the time being, remains limited to Chennai and Tamil Nadu circle.

Vi yesterday expanded the availability of its Rs 148 prepaid plan to the Andhra Pradesh circle making it available in three LSAs including Gujarat and Delhi. The prepaid plan offers unlimited calling, 1GB high-speed data per day, 100 local and national SMS per day along with a validity of 18 days. On the non-teleco benefits end, the prepaid plan offers a validity of Vi Movies and TV content.
