The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) in the August-September 2022 period allocated numbering resources to Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited, Bharti Airtel Limited, and Vodafone Idea Limited for different purposes.

On 6th September, Reliance Jio was allocated MSC code 92010-92019 for Madhya Pradesh LSA. The ACCESS-MSC code allocation came into consideration at the request of telco. It will allow the telco to meet one million subscribers’ demand in the telecom circle. The TSP can use the numbering series except for the ported-out subscribers of Tata Teleservices Limited.

On 23rd September, Bharti Airtel was allocated 13 digit M2M numbering series for Delhi LSA. The fresh new 13-digit M2M numbering resources allocation came into consideration at the request of the telco. The telco has been allocated a 5 million numbering series for Delhi LSA. The M2M identifier’s three digits are 575, whereas the license identifier’s four digits are 4209-4213.

On 24th August, Vodafone Idea Limited was allocated a new numbering series for provisioning wireline services. The allocation came into consideration at the request of the telco. It has been allocated level ’37’ for its basic services for Mangalagari SDCA in Andhra Pradesh LSA.

On 16th August, Tata Teleservices was allowed to change the address of the SP code. The approval came into consideration at the request of the telco. TTSL’s network element NGN/IMS with SP code 10874 will shift from Indore to Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh LSA.

On 29th August, V-CON Mobile & Infra was allocated Signallling Pointing (SP) codes for Punjab LSA. The allocation of SP codes came into consideration at the licensee’s request. V-CON’s SSTP Server 3 and SSTP Server 4, with allocated SP codes 12160 and 12161, will be installed in Mohali, Punjab. The allocated SP codes are to be utilized within six months from the allocation date. If the same doesn’t happen, then the same has to be reported to DoT and surrendered. Similarly, if the network element to which the SP code is allocated has been decommissioned and its use is not planned in the next six months, the allocated SP code has to be surrendered.
