On Sunday, Yuvraj Singh played a signature knock of 39 of 23 balls in Sunrisers Hyderabad's big 95-run win over defending champions Mumbai Indians, but what took him into history books is not something he would want to remember.

Facing New Zealander Mitchell McClenaghan, the veteran Indian batsman was out hit-wicket, which made him the sixth batsman in IPL history to be out in that fashion.

Yuvraj, who had to wait for almost a month to play his first IPL-9 match, was recuperating on the bench from the ankle injury he suffered during the ICC World Twenty20 match against Australia in Mohali.

The unfortunate dismissal made the southpaw the first batsman since IPL 5 (2012) to see his innings ending on that embarrassing note.
In nine years of the Indian Premier League history, he is the sixth batsmen to have lost his wicket in such manner. Here's the list:

1. Yuvraj Singh
Year: 2016
Against: Mumbai Indians
Bowlers: Mitchell McClenaghan

2. Musavir Khote (MI)

3. Misbah-ul-Haq (RCB)
