It’s a new day and there is a new device from the house of Xiaomi. Although Xiaomi has already ventured into manufacturing headphones, it is the first time that the company has launched a sports Bluetooth headset. Called the Mi Sports Bluetooth headset, the device sticks to the classic in-ear design, and comes with a little loop that goes around the back of the ear to keep them from falling of your ear every now and then.

These Bluetooth headphones are waterproof and sweatproof, and they come with an IPX4 rating. The headsets are light with a total weight of just 17.8 gm. Additionally, the left and right in-ears are connected with a wire, which would go behind the back of your neck, so if you do lose them, they’re going down together. Talking about the specifications and features of the headset, it features Bluetooth 4.1, which enables users to connect the headset with another devices in just about 3 seconds, claims Xiaomi. In addition to that, it comes with multi-point feature, which allows a user to connect the headset to two devices and switch between them.

Bluetooth headsets are not really a new concept. Most of us at least once have used these headsets, and we know how annoying and uncomfortable the ear loops can get. However, looking at the comfort bit, and because these Xiaomi headsets are targeted for fitness and sports, they have been made of flexible soft material making it convenient and comfortable to wear without any pain, even after prolonged strenuous exercise. The Mi Sports Bluetooth headsets have a built-in MEMS microphone for clear audio, and an on-ear control to adjust volume. For calls, it has an in-line button.

These headsets are fuelled by 110mAh battery with up to 7 hours of talk time and 280 hours of standby. It features a fast charging technology, which fuels up the headset in 10 minutes for 1 hour of listening. The Xiaomi Mi Sports Bluetooth Headset comes in black and white colors, is priced at 149 Yuan, which translated to about Rs 1,470 approx. The headsets go on sale in China from November 11.

On November 11, another interesting product from Xiaomi is to go on sale, which is a programmable, lego-like toy robot. Called Toy Block, the robot can be assembled in different shapes (much like how a lego-building works), but what stands as the high point of the toy robot is that it will be controllable through an app. The Toy Block has been listed on Xiaomi’s official website, and along with details about what the toy robot is about and how it works, it also reveals that it will be priced at 499 Yuan, which translates to approximately Rs 5,000. Also, Lei Jun in a post on Weibo had announced that the robot will go on sale on November 11 in China.

The robot will come in a kit, which will comprise of various components like wheels, gears and chains, to make a moveable robot come to life. And Xiaomi claims that all parts of the robot are made of non-polluting secure raw material. According to Xiaomi’s website the robot will be powered by an 32-bit ARM Cortex-M3 chip, and will come with sensors such as a gyroscope and be able to keep itself upright. Additionally, the robot comes with a proprietary operating system to allow the robot to perform perfectly coordinated actions. The company claims that the structure of the toy will be stable enough to hold up to 3kg of weight while moving forward. Further, the robot comes with four USB Type-C interface for Android-powered smartphones, while also driving other expansion devices.
