Xiaomi might introduce an another sub-brand to smartphone market soon. The Chinese manufacturer currently sells smartphones under Mi and Redmi labels across the global markets. The new Xiaomi sub-brand, however, is said to strictly sell smartphones offline.

According to GizmoChina , the undisclosed brand is said to take on rivals Oppo and Vivo, which have a relatively strong hold in offline markets. Xiaomi initially started with online stores and flash sales to sell its smartphones and accessories. The company arrived a bit late in the offline scene losing market share to competitions. Lately, the company announced changes to its retail plans and has to scaled up its offline presence, the company has opened hundreds of Mi Home Stores across global market. The company recently inaugurated first Mi Home Store in India and aims to add around 100 Mi Home Store by the year 2018.

As per reports, the first smartphone under the new brand is said to be unveiled towards the end of this month. Xiaomi is also said to rope in influential personalities to endrose the new brand and smartphones to follow ahead. From the leaked image, the ‘yet to be named’ announced smartphone looks very similar to the recently launched OnePlus 5 and Apple iPhone 7 Plus .

So, looks like they want to increase their prices a bit. Offline prices are generally 15-25% higher than online only products.
 
As per Chinese Websites it could be Lanmi (Blue Rice) and Xiaomi X1 will be launched as Lanmi X1 in 4 variants

It'll be the 3rd brand after Mi, Redmi
