India will kickstart their run in the second edition of the World Test Championship (WTC) with a five-match away Test series against England. The Test series will be played from August 4 to September 14...
According to India’s 2021-23 Future Tour Programmes (FTP), the side will feature in as many as six Test series including three home series and as many away tours.

"Instead of each series being worth the same number of points, 120, irrespective of whether the series is played over two Tests or five Tests, the next cycle will see each match being worth the same number of points - a maximum of 12 per match. Teams will be ranked on the percentage of available points they won from the matches they have played. The aim was to try and simplify the points system and to allow teams to be meaningfully compared on the table at any point, though they may have played differing numbers of matches and series."

Points system (if implemented) looks much better. But there should be minimum number of matches/series to be played by a team to be eligible for the finals. Say, Pakistan plays only 3 matches against Ban and qualifies for finals with 100% points.
Buddy, they only changed that to win % only in the last minute as many teams weren't playing the games they are supposed to because of the pandemic.

Also, this points system also has its drawbacks., ultimately it will go the points percentage with the number of matches played and points won by each team.

what about over rate penalties?

SA have all series in SENA countries, while PAK haven't single series in SENA.

Looks like ICC is desperate to bring Pak for finals.
Forget SENA, they have all their matches in subcontinent except only 2 away matches in WI.
Also they have all their (so called) away matches against the bottom 3 teams of last season.
