According to a daily, Hrithik Roshan has been offered two exciting web projects by Disney+Hotstar. One is the desi adaptation of The Night Manager (2016) starring Tom Hiddleston and the other is the remake of the 1983 miniseries, The Citadel.

A source revealed to the daily saying, “BBC"s The Night Manager has a massive following in India, courtesy Tom Hiddleston. The top brass at the streaming giant feel Hrithik Roshan, with his s#x appeal and acting skills, will be the perfect choice to step into Hiddleston"s shoes as the luxury hotel manager who is hired to infiltrate the inner circle of an arms dealer. They have also suggested a web adaptation of The Citadel, which revolves around medical ethics. While he loved both roles, each distinctive in its heroism, Hrithik is excited to bring the British espionage thriller to India and is likely to give his nod. Disha Patani and Tabu are being approached to portray the roles played by Elizabeth Debicki and Olivia Colman respectively.”

Now Hrithik Roshan gears up for his digital debut!

“The makers were on the look out for a seasoned actor to play Olivia Colman from the original with utmost conviction and they have locked Sobhita to play the part now.

Next is the Indian adaptation of hugely successful BBC and AMC 2016 series “The Night Manager,” based on the 1993 novel by John le Carré. Kapoor reveals that the Indian title of the series is “Captain.”

Aditya Roy Kapoor plays the role essayed by Tom Hiddleston in the original. “I am the Indian Roper,” said Kapoor, referring to the role of arms dealer Richard Roper, played by Hugh Laurie in the original series.

Some 60% of the series has been shot and production will resume after the “Jug Jugg Jeeyo” release, Kapoor said, adding that The Ink Factory, whick produced “The Night Manager” is “passionately involved” in the project.

The Night Manager’s Indian remake launches this week and its stars are now set to feature on the cover of the original John le Carre novel — a first for an Indian series.

This is believed to be the first time characters from an Indian series have appeared on an international bestseller. It provides more momentum for the buzzy series, which launches in India on Disney+ Hotstar on February 17 under the Hotstar Specials brand. The Ink Factory and Banijay Asia made the show, with Sandeep Modi the showrunner.
