It looks like Season 3 of The Mandalorian will just make it under the wire in arriving in 2021. At today’s Disney Investor Day presentation, Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy announced that the release date for The MandalorianSeason 3 will arrive on Christmas 2021. Obviously, that means the new season will spill over into early 2022, but it’s good to know we’ll be getting new episodes about a year after Season 2 concludes.

With today's announcement of The Book of Boba Fett at the Season 2 post-credit scene, it all throws everyone into confusion. Will it be Mando S3 or Boba Fett S1 in December or both?

Yeah that's true! Both are aiming for the same month. However, Kathy announced Season 3 is coming Christmas 2021. So may be Book of Boba Fett is a Mini Series and will be followed by Mando S3. However, Boba Fett Series has casting done and will be filming as we speak.

BTW this series took Mando's production slot. So may be this will debut even before that. Any how next year's Disney+ schedule is crazy enough with 6 Shows from Marvel. So, there may be a chance of at least a shows from Star Wars as, both Obi-Wan and Andor are aiming for 2022,with at least on of the Mando spinoffs coming the same year.

The Mandalorian Season 3 Release Date: Disney Listing Implies 2022 Premiere

Julia Alexander of The Verge posted a list of dates from a preview kit for Disney+'s upcoming 2021 releases. While the dates list several key Marvel and Star Wars series set to be released in 2021 (such as The Book of Boba Fett and Star Wars: The Bad Batch), it notably omits The Mandalorian Season 3.

This seemingly confirms that The Mandalorian's third season will be releasing on the streaming service in 2022, or later.
