Sony brings a pocket-sized projector for your smartphone

Consumer electronics brand Sony today unveiled its MP- CL1 portable projector for smartphones for Rs 26,990. The handheld projector uses a laser light source and is capable of delivering Full HD resolution images with a contrast ratio of 80,000:1 at an aspect ratio of 16:9 and a maximum brightness of 32 ANSI Lumens.
. . The MP- CL1 is a short-throw mobile projector which can display a screen size of up to 120 inches at a distance of 3.45 metres. It offers several connectivity options. Users can connect their smartphone or tablet via HDMI or MHL. It also comes with built-in Screen Mirroring feature that allows users to mirror content via Wi-Fi.

. Being a perfect match for home and mobile entertainment, business presentations, the projector comes with a built-in speaker. It also serves the purpose of displaying content from smartphones or tablets.

This device uses Sony's Laser Beam Scanning technology which enables focus-free projection and doesn't require even surfaces for the same. It comes in an aluminum body with a matte finish and weighs around 210 grams. It is powered by a built-in 3,400mAh battery. Sony claims the battery to last up to 120 minutes of HD resolution playback. The MP-CL1 also includes a HDMI to Mini-HDMI adapter, Micro-USB cable and a detachable two-way stand.
