Rio Mobile in partnership with Snapdeal
has launched three new affordable
smartphones for the Indian market.

The handsets, named Rio London , Rio
Paris , and Rio New York, are now
exclusively available at Snapdeal. The Ri
London (R201) smartphone is priced at
Rs. 3,399, the Rio Paris (R301) is priced
at Rs. 4,399, while the Rio New York
R501 is priced at Rs. 4,999. The
company in a press statement
announced that the Rio Mobile will be
promoted by TriStar Products, a beauty
accessory company, in India.

Both the Rio London and Rio Paris
smartphones share some common
specifications. They are both powered by
a 1.3GHz dual-core MediaTek (MT6572)
processor coupled with 512MB of RAM.
Both Android 4.4.2 KitKat-based
smartphones come with dual-SIM
support.

Notably, both the new budget
smartphones also support 3G
connectivity, one of the highlights of the
handsets at the price point. Apart from
3G, other connectivity options include
Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and
Micro-USB. Both also sport a 5-
megapixel rear camera with flash and 2-
megapixel front camera. Both the Rio
London and Rio Paris smartphones com
with 4GB inbuilt storage that's further
expandable via microSD card (up to
32GB).

There are few differences however, such
as the Rio London features a 4-inch
WVGA (480x800 pixels) display while th
Rio Paris features a 4.5-inch FWVGA
(480x854 pixels) IPS display. The Rio
London packs a 1500mAh battery while
the Rio Paris packs a 1700mAh battery.

The Rio New York, on the other hand, is
phablet featuring 5-inch FWVGA
(480x854 pixels) display. It is powered
by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek
(MT6582) coupled with 512MB of RAM.
The dual-SIM based Rio New York sports
an 8-megapixel rear autofocus camera
with LED flash while also including a 2-
megapixel front-facing camera onboard.

It packs a 2000mAh battery and include
4GB of inbuilt storage expandable via
microSD card (up to 32GB). Connectivity
options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPRS/
EDGE, 3G, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB.
