Reliance Retail acquires Metro Cash & Carry for Rs 2,850 crore

Reliance Retail Ventures Limited (RRVL), a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Ltd, on December 22 signed definitive agreements to acquire 100 percent equity stake in Metro Cash and Carry India Pvt Ltd (Metro India) for a cash consideration of Rs 2,850 crore.

In my city Jaipur Metro and Reliance Market (now Reliance Smart Superstore) both wholesale store are very close to each other, Just 600m walking distance.
Although, we always found Metro cheaper than this. Right now it's being long time since we visited that place.

Remains to be seen if Metro still offers the kind of discounts that was there earlier. It was wonderful place where you would get everything under 1 roof at discounted prices.

Metro was nothing from last 3 years, yes but now it'll be everything like before. Reliance all retail outlets will be under one roof.
Grocery, Veggies, Household items, electronics, smart gadgets, etc.
