Assassin's Creed is one of the most popular games in the history of gaming. The franchise has a lot of variants of the game that are released on a timely basis. It is usually built over popular events in history with a central character who is an assassin.

Assassin's Creed has released a trailer for its next game, The Chronicles, and the exciting bit is that a part of the game is set in India. The game follows the life of three different assassins, each from different countries, namely India, China, and Russia.

The first part of the game is set in the year 1526 in the Ming Dynasty ruled China. A female assassin named Shao Jun is out to seek vengeance. The second part follows an assassin Arbaaz Mir in the backdrop of the Sikh Empire at war in 1841. And the third part is about an assassin named Nikolai Orelov which is set in the aftermath of the Red October in Russia.

Each part of the Chronicle is designed in a unique way with designs specific to that era and region. In the first part there is a prominent use of soft brush strokes which will immediately remind you of the peculiar Chinese art. In the Indian set up there is an extensive use of colourful and traditional patterns throughout the trailer and one can also notice an uncanny similarity with the Prince of Persia game series. The third part uses dark backgrounds with a distinct Russian AgitProp art style to create the eerie post-Bolshevik Revolution effect.
