usually it will be a different seller trying to deplete the left over stock. I can see Appario selling all the 2020 models and IT Peripherals selling 2019 onesWhy 2000mAh 2020 model costs lesser than 2019 model? Is there a quality degradation?

I am aware of the fact Appario is the official Amazon seller but others can increase the price. The issue here is Appario themselves selling 2019 for Rs 1,599.
But, now Appario stock is sold out and IT Peripherals selling it at Rs 1,999.
Even on Mi Store 2019 model is Rs 1,599 - [20000mAh Mi Power Bank 2i Black]Product Info - Mi India
2020 model costs 100 less. Surely quality degraded.

in that it could be something internal that is saving cost for them. May be the component prices are less now?
Another thing to note is MRP. 2i had an MRP of 1999 and was old at 1599 at 20% Off. 31 has an MRP of 2199 and is being sold at 1499 with 32% Off. So it has to be related to BOM
