The LG Optimus G price in India has been set at a whopping Rs. 30,990, but this information hasn’t surface through the company. The phone seems to have made a very quiet entry into the market, cropping up as available for purchase on just one retailer online.

The G variant that will grace the Indian subcontinent will be the enhanced version running on the latest Jelly Bean platform. The device gathers momentum from a 1.5GHz quad core Snapdragon chipset that partners with 2GB of RAM. Storage requirements would be addressed by 32GB of internal memory, out of which only 25GB will be available to users. Consumers can depend on the 2100mAh battery capacity to deliver a talktime of roughly 15 hours or a standby time of around 335 hours.

Catering to photography needs, the device proffers a main camera of 13MP which wraps along features like 8x digital zoom, autofocus, time catch shot, HDR, panorama, geotagging and others. A 1.3MP has also been affixed onto the front panel granting users with means of taking self-portraits. Enclosed in a form factor that measures 131.9mm x 68.9mm x 8.45mm, the handset is as light as 145 grams. The manufacturer has attempted to guard the 4.7-inch display by coating it with Corning Gorilla Glass 2.

The maker has integrated certain upgraded utilities into the smartphone like QSlide that allows users to run 2 apps simultaneously. Safety Care sends out messages to designated contacts when consumers dial emergency numbers or doesn’t utilize their phones for a long time. Lastly, Privacy Keeper ensures that information such as names, photos and numbers of callers are not displayed on the screen.

The device supports connectivity through Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, EDGE and 3G. Entertainment is provided through a spate of apps that can downloaded from the Play store and users can also listen to FM radio.

The LG Optimus G can be obtained from Saholic which appears to be the only online retailer to keep it in stock at present.
