Intex has launched another affordable smartphone in its Aqua series, called the Aqua Strong 5.2 and is priced at Rs 6,390. The smartphone is listed on the company’s official website without details of availability. The main USP of the smartphone include Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box and support for 4G VoLTE. The Aqua Strong 5.2 comes in three colors, white, blue and champagne.

Back in August the company had also launched Aqua Strong 5.1 for Rs 4,999. The newly launched Aqua Strong 5.2 looks like an upgraded version of its predecessor. While the design and built of the Aqua Strong 5.1 and Strong 5.2 remains the same, and the phones run Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the only difference can be spotted in their RAM and connectivity. The Aqua Strong 5.2 comes with 2GB of RAM as compared to 1GB in Aqua Strong 5.1 . Connectivity wise, the Aqua Strong 5.2 comes with 4G VoLTE, however the Strong 5.1 comes only with 4G and does not support VoLTE.

The smartphone features a 5-inch FWVGA (854×480) TN display along with Gorilla Glass 2 protection on top. Under the hood runs a 1.0GHz quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. Also on offer is an internal storage of 16GB, which is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.

On the camera front, the smartphone sports a 5-megapixel rear camera, which has a dual LED flash. It comes with a 2-megapixel front facing camera with flash. The smartphone also comes equipped with camera features in the likes of smile detection, face beauty, panorama mode and voice capture. It comes packed with a 2,800mAh battery, which the company claims delivers up to 16 hours of talktime on 3G and 4G along with 466 hours of standby time. As mentioned earlier, the smartphone runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 and its connectivity options include 4G, VoLTE, Bluetooth, dual-SIM, USB 2.0, and Wi-Fi. The Aqua Strong 5.2 is preloaded with apps like Matrabhasha and Sony Liv.

The smartphone will face tough competition in the likes of Alcatel Pixi 4 and Lenovo A6000. Both the smartphones are 4G VoLTE enabled.
The Lenovo A6600 comes with a 5-inch HD display. It is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek 6735 quad-core processor. The smartphone comes with 16GB internal storage and is expandable up to 32GB via microSD. The smartphone sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and autofocus. The smartphone also come with 2-megapixel front facing camera. The smartphones come with a 2,300mAh battery. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, 4G, VoLTE, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to name a few. The smartphone run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box.

The Alcatel Pixi 4 is one of the few sub-Rs 5,000 smartphones to come with 4G VoLTE smartphone. The smartphone features a 5-inch FWVGA display, 1GHz quad-core MediaTek MTK6735M processor paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. It has an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera with flash. The smartphone comes with a 2,000mAh battery and offers connectivity options like dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE support, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and microUSB. The phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box.
