Idea Cellular , the country’s third-largest telecom operator, is offering 14GB of data with the recharge of Rs. 345 along with unlimited calling for new 4G customers through My Idea application.

For regular ordinary user the data benefit is up to 500Mb of data per day for 28 days, the report said.

The telecom operator had launched the plan late last year, and it was offering just 50MB of 4G data for existing and 1GB of data only for new 4G handset users, along with unlimited calling.

The latest move could be seen aimed at countering Reliance Jio ’s Rs 303 Prime membership plan, which will offer 28 GB of 4G data, along with free unlimited voice calls starting April 1.

Bharti Airtel , the country’s largest telco, also rolled out two aggressive bundled plans at Rs 145 and Rs 349 to counter Reliance Jio’s Prime offer. Under these packs, Bharti Airtel is offering 14 GB of 3G/4G data over a month, bundled with unlimited voice calls, according to a Credit Suisse note.

According to the report, Idea Cellular is also giving 6GB of data and 248 minutes talk time with the recharge of Rs 248 and 6GB of data at just Rs 148.
