NEW DELHI: A 16-year-old girl from Assam was allegedly gang-raped by four men who lured her to a placement agency in west Delhi with the promise of a good job. The accused confined her in a house for days and took turns to rape her after forcing her to drink alcohol, police said.
Cops have arrested the owners of the placement agency identified as Naval Kishore and Shabina after registering a case of rape, illegal confinement and criminal intimidation. Three others are on the run and have been identified as Imran, Lalu and Mithun.
The victim had first come to Delhi two years ago for a job but returned after failing to find any. She returned to the city in June and began working in Rohini. Later she approached a placement agency and met Imran there, who sent her to another placement agency in Khayala in August-end.
The victim reached the agency office on August 25 after speaking to Kishore and Shabina. But instead of offering her a job, the accused had allegedly confined her in a small, dingy room and the four men raped her repeatedly.
The victim managed to escape on Monday and spent the night at the railway station after informing her relatives. She then went to police who recorded her statement and sent her for a medical examination. The girl is now staying in a rehab home.
