As expected, Gionee on Monday launched its Elife S6 smartphone in China priced at CNY 1,699 (roughly Rs. 17,500). The handset is up for reservations from the company website and will start shipping on November 22.
Running Amigo 3.1 OS based on Android 5.1 Lollipop, the Gionee Elife S6 comes with dual-SIM (Micro+Nano) SIM support. The second SIM slot also doubles as the MicroSD card slot. It features a 5.5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) resolution Amoled display and under-the-hood packs a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT67538 processor clocked at 1.3GHz, clubbed with 3GB of RAM and Mali-T720 GPU.
The Gionee Elife S6 includes a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It features modes such as night mode, panorama mode, burst mode, magic focus and more. Full-HD resolution video recording is also included. The smartphone houses 32GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB).
