Dutch internet-based computer file transfer service provider WeTransfer has been banned by the Department of Telecommunications, citing public interest and national security, the media has reported. This comes at a time when millions of people are working from home in the wake of the novel coronavirus-induced lockdown and are also transferring files to colleagues and teammates. Amsterdam, Netherlands-headquartered WeTransfer is touted to be one of the world’s most popular file-sharing service provider.
