New Delhi, Jun 20: The civil society members and government representatives of the 10-member joint committee for Lokpal bill are all set to reunite for their expected last meet on Monday, Jun 20. The last meeting can be the D-day for Lokpal as it will take the final decision on inclusion of Prime Minister under the ambit of Lokpal.

Meanwhile, Congress also announced that it will call an all party meeting soon to discuss the same (inclusion of PM under Lokpal ambit) matter. So, questions started arising - was the last Lokpal panel meet a sham?

Both government and civil society members agreed that the final decision on the Lokpal draft will be taken by the joint committee panel. Now, Congress and UPA government's decision to call an all party meeting raises question - who will take the last decision?

While the seventh meeting between the panel members, Anna Hazare's team and government representatives had failed to reach any consensus. Both parties were engaged in a fresh war of words over the decision of submitting two different drafts before the union cabinet.

Monday's meeting will also clarify Hazare's decision to resume fast from Aug 16. However, criticising the Gandhian crusader's fast-decision, telecom minister Kapil Sibal vowed to table the final Lokpal draft before its deadline.

The two groups in the Lokpal committee had been in dispute over Hazare and other civil society members' emphasis on the inclusion of PM under the anti-corruption bill. Though, the government spokespersons have showed their strong antipathy towards the demand.

It will be interesting to see whether the last meeting on Lokpal will be successful to break the deadlock. All political parties and aam-admi are looking forward for the meeting to know the final result.
