Qualcomm Windows 8 tablet - Windows 8 was largely expected to be one of the stellar launches at Microsoft’s last CES, but Qualcomm took us by surprise by showcasing Windows 8 on its own tablet running on Snapdragon. We just hope that we can get our hands on one before this year ends.

Nokia Lumia 900 - The Lumia 800 is one phone that has been a hit all around the world, and it successor, the Lumia 900, is no less. Equipped with 4.3-inch AMOLED screen, 8-megapixel camera and 1830 mAh battery, we expect it to outdo the 800.

Huawei Ascend - The battle of the thinnest phones has been on for, like forever. However, it wasn’t one of the biggies that unleashed the world’s thinnest phone, Huawei just moved up a notch in our book by launching the Ascend P1 S, which also comes with Ice Cream Sandwich OS out-of-the box. With additional features like super AMOLED, 8-megapxel camera and most importantly 6.7mm thickness; it has stipulated Huawei right into the big league. It is expected to hit the shelves by the end of Jan this year.

Fujitsu’s Tegra 3 smartphoneFujitsu is known more for its cameras and those camera rolls that take us back 20 years. But, the company has slowly and steadily created its own niche in the mobile/ tablet industry. As if coming out with a waterproof Arrows tab wasn’t enough, Fujitsu unveiled Tegra 3 smartphone which comes with not only a quad-core processor but also a fifth core to save power. A mammoth 13.1-megapixel camera and 4.6-inch HD display has got us waiting with baited breaths for its release. Expected release is around Q4 2012, at the MWC 2012.

ViewSonic dual-OS tabletSo you want to settle for tablet are spoilt for choice between Windows and Android? Well, you don’t need to be any longer. ViewSonic has given you the best of both worlds with its ViewPad 10 pi that lets you choose between both operating systems. Other features include a 10.1-inch screen, 3.2-megapixel primary camera and a 2890 mAh battery. Expect it hit the shelves by the end of Jan.

LG 4.3-inch LCD smartphone - Currently just a prototype, this smartphone from LG’s s expected to come with features such as a full HD resolution, ultra thin form factor and quick switch from 2D to 3D.

Toshiba Excite X10 - Thin is totally in! Toshiba has unveiled the Excite 10, which is claimed to be the world’s thinnest 10-inch tablet at 7.7mm. Equipped with features such as a 5-megapixel cam and Gorilla Glass display, it is expected to hit the shelves in the coming weeks.

Motorola Droid 4 The Motorola Droid Razr just got a QWERTY sibling. Meet the Droid 4, the world’s thinnest 4G QWERTY LTE which looks just like the Razr, except it has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. It even offers similar features such as a waiting ICS update, Gorilla glass coating and 4.3-inch qHD display. It will be available ‘in the coming weeks’.

Lenovo IdeaTab S2 - So you thought that Asus Transformer was your only choice if you wanted a dock with your high-end tablet right from the manufacturer’s table? Turns out, you may be wrong. After the launch of the IdeaPad A1 and K1 last year, here comes the Ideatab S2 – a tablet with a slide out dock and features like a dual-core CPU, Ice Cream Sandwich OS and 20 hours standby time. No other details available as yet.

Samsung Exhilarate - Samsung has shown that despite being a big commercial enterprise, it hasn’t forgotten about the environment. It has come out with a phone made of 80% recyclable materials and power saving software and features like 4-inch Super AMOLED along 4G and LTE connectivity. Way to go, Samsung. It is expected to hit the shelves by the end of Q1 2012.
