I don't see any operator who gives free voice, do you ? If all are charging monthly fees for voice then how can voice be free ? It's a myth that voice is free, it's a marketing trick to fool consumers.

Now not everyone spend monthly 150 rupee on phone and require almost unlimited voice, there are people who just keep phone for incoming purpose only, for them talk time is required bcoz validity is till 2034 unlike for monthly plan which ends only after 28 days

As Diwali 2017 approaches, BSNL or Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has announced 50 per cent extra talk-time along with full talk-time on select recharge packs in a limited-period scheme. BSNL's Diwali 'Laxmi' offer will open from October 16 to October 21, 2017, the telecom company said on its website - bsnl.co.in. The new scheme by BSNL comes at a time when the country's telecom industry is witnessing high competition due to aggressive mobile data pricing by Reliance Jio. Under BSNL's Laxmi offer, prepaid users buying a recharge of Rs 290 will get a talk-time or talk value of Rs 435, the state-run telecom company added.
