Days after a COVID-19 recovered patient died of mucormycosis or black fungus at a hospital here, the Assam health and family welfare department on Friday released a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to contain the possible spread of the disease.

The Union health ministry has already appealed to all the states and Union Territories to declare black fungus as a notifiable disease under the Epidemic Disease Act, 1897.

The way Corona patients have been treated in india will surely lead to complications in future. One of my worker was treated for Covid by a local doctor. The guy had CT score of 1 when he initially went but he had fever in 101-102 range coupled with extreme weakness. His Doctor put him on some medication(Not prescribed anywhere) and the guy's fever came down in just 2 days. After 4-5 days he started getting seizures, coupled with all other symptoms of Covid. This time he was admitted to a Government hospital and when his HRCT scanning was done the CT score was 18.He has been on Oxygen from that time but thankfully to a large extent recovered.Bottomline is for a quick fix many doctors are just concentrating on brining down fever without considering any other side effect. This will have impact on the patient's health in future.
