Apple plans to hold a "special event" on
October 16, where it is expected to launch its
new iPads, technology website Recode said,
citing sources.
Incidentally, Recode was the website that was
first to confirm Apple's September 9 event.
The iPhone maker is expected to unveil the
new iPads and the latest updates to its iMac
line, the website said, citing an article
published by technology website 9to5Mac
earlier this week.
The new iPad will have a faster processor,
most likely Apple A8 found in the iPhone 6. Or
it may have something like A8X, which will be
even more powerful than the A8. But currently,
not many details are available about what
Apple will unveil on October 16. The iPad sales
are falling and growth in slowing so this year
Apple may go in for than evolutionary changes
to its tablet in a bid to woo buyers.
