Amazon aquires MGM Studios for $8.45 billion

Amazon said the acquisition is primarily based on the Intellectual Properties that the brand own. They must have seen value in that probably to reboot or something. Lets see how it pans out

No Wizard of Oz, no say in James Bond franchise. TV shows like The Apprentice can't be shown. Most of the classic library are with Warner Media. This doesn't look worth $8 billion at all.
By the way, now Vikings will move to Amazon?

I think it's a waste of a deal. Rather than MGM, They should have went for Studio Ghibli or DC. MGM is waste of money. While Studio Ghibli has a brand value none other have. And DC will have many sequal, Prequel in future. It could have been Marvel for Prime.
