It's not actually that (only for Prime customers though).
For a 15K purchase, on other cards you need to pay 13.5K. For APay card, it's 14.25K payment and Rs 712 Amazon pay cashback which virtually makes it Rs 13538, not a very big difference.
But if you consider reward points (and their cash conversion ratio depending on card variant), you'll be at much bigger loss.
