"South Korea’s LG Electronics Inc said on Monday it will end production and sales of its loss-making smartphone division."

LG had announced in January it was considering all options for the business after logging nearly six years of losses totalling some $4.5 billion.

Though I have not used many LG phones earlier (except the Optimus 3D phone with real 3D display and dual camera capable of recording 3D videos, more than a decade back), I feel sorry to see them shut shop. They are the guys having crazy ideas like dual screens, LG Wing, removable battery phones, banana phones, phone with self healing back, 3.5 mm jack and great audio quality, who brought ultraWide to mainstream, etc...

But all these things are outrun by few cons like crazy price at launch, crazy price drop after few months (so early adopters feel burnt and never buy them again) and finally ALMOST NIL software updates or too buggy updates (remember the bootloops) if any...
