Assam Electronics Development Corporation bags ISP-A authorisation with a new Unified License
AEDCL bagged Unified License in October 2020 with ISP-A authorization. AEDCL offers broadband services under the banner of AMTRON.

State-run Assam Electronics Development Corporation Limited last year bagged ISP-A authorisation under a newly granted Unified License. The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) yesterday published the latest list of telecom licenses as of 31st March 2021 which revealed the newly granted Unified License (UL) since October 2020.
In the last 6 months, DoT has granted two new Unified License (UL) apart from additional authorization to Tata Teleservices to provide Access Services in four more telecom circles. State-owned AEDCL got a UL on 12th October 2020 followed by state-owned BSNL getting a UL on 10th December 2020. DoT had last year also granted a fresh UL to Lightstorm Telecom Connectivity with ISP-A, ILD, and NLD authorization.
AEDCL offers broadband services under ‘AMTRON’ branding catering to both Commercial and Residential users. There are three types of Home Plans namely Amtron Broadband Economy, Amtron Premium and Amtron Broadband Home Friendly whereas the Commercial Plans available at the disposal are Amtron Business Plans, Amtron Buisness Plans (time bound) and Amtron Dynamic Unlimited Plans.
